Born on the island of Kodiak in Alaska in 1955, Bobby Spiegel began an early love for travel. Throughout his live he has traveled to many cities throughout California and various states with the United States. He also has visited countries of China, France, Greece, Israel and Mexico.

In 1958, the Spiegel family relocated its roots from a myriad of locations to the current land of Corona, California.  Educated through the Corona-Norco Unified School District, Bobby has furthered his education with some college courses and multiple seminars and professional associations.

Working for a paying job started when he was 14 years old and he has developed a work ethic that ensures the job is finished completely prior to clocking out.

At the age of 18 Bobby owned his first business, followed with a second business within the same 12 months.  Through the years, Bobby has owned and managed businesses in the Retail, Construction and Service Industries. He and his wife Karen still own and operate Spiegel Enterprises / Marketing and Publishing where they combine the internet and traditional business. Spiegel Enterprises is affiliated with GlobalNet a training and support organization dedicated to the financial strength in learning. Bobby is a GlobalNet Certified Instructor.

In May of 2001, the Corona Chamber of Commerce hired Bobby as their top paid staff.  As President / CEO of this business organization, Bobby oversees the day to day operations as well as is the spokesperson for the Corona Chamber of Commerce.

During his tenure with the Chamber, growth in membership numbers have close to doubled, reaching an organization of over 1,200 members representing over 55,000 jobs. All of the programs and events that are produced through the Chamber strive to meet or exceed budget.  The Chamber is financially stable today. Each committee or program stand on their own, while many of these committees utilize volunteers, some staff time is required.  Bobby leads the professional staff and is the behind the scenes person that makes things work while providing the volunteer leaders serving on the Board be recognized and in the forefront. In August 2006, Bobby completed a three-year course through the WACE (Western Association of Chamber Executives), and graduated in February 2007 in Foster City CA.

Bobby portrays a positive attitude that becomes infectious with others.  There is a favorite quote often recited by Bobby: The purpose in life is not just to be happy, the purpose in life is to have mattered; to have mattered whether or not you ever existed on the face of this earth at all, is more important than the temporary or egotistical illusion called happiness.   The Corona Chamber has seen many great successes, but Bobby clearly states, we are only beginning. The best is yet to happen. Bobby believes the next chairman or volunteer for the best project or event the chamber will hold hasn’t become a member yet. 

The Spiegel family has made an impact in the community of Corona, Bobby’s parents Herb and Flora owned and operated a electrical contracting company for 36 years, Flora served the city on Council and was Mayor in 1976.  Following in her mother-in-law steps, Bobby’s wife, Karen serves as Mayor of the City of Corona, in 2006 – exactly 30 years after Bobby’s mom. Karen continues to serve on the Corona City Council today. The Spiegel Family prides itself on self discipline and their continual volunteerism to the many organizations they support. Bobby and Karen have five children, from 21 years old to 16 years old; 3 are in college and 2 are in high school.
